It's Happening...Time to Restart the Schedule!

Hello Gray Ghost fans!

Well, it's been a long, sorta cold, non-truck working kind of winter.  Spring has definitely sprung here.  When I left you last, I was up against the wall with space limitations, the need to make sparks in the garage (grinding and welding) and the desire to not burn down my house.  The proposed solution?  To build a garden shed.  The idea behind the shed is to move all of the lawn and garden equipment out of the garage and into the shed.  Also, anything else stored in the garage that could also be stored in the shed.  Ladders and kids ride on toys come to mind.  With the space freed up, the thought goes, I'll be able to manage the sparks and keep any combustible material away from the spark source.  That's the thought, anyways.

So, today, I took the second step in the process.  The first step?  Getting HOA approval for the shed.  That came in last weekend.  Today I placed the order with Lowes.  Their stock photo of what I ordered looks like this:

Heartland (Common: 12-ft x 12-ft; Interior Dimensions: 11.42-ft x 11.42-ft) Statesman Gable Engineered Storage Shed (Installation Not Included)

I know, not terribly exciting from a design perspective or compared to some of the super exciting Gray Ghost pics, but hey, it facilitates the Gray Ghost revival.  In fact, I'm super excited about getting it and building it.  The kit isn't scheduled to come for a couple of weeks.  I won't be surprised if it gets delayed because of the current corona virus pandemic, but my order is in the queue.

Between now and delivery date, I've got some site prep work to do.  This involves cutting down some small trees, getting some blocks and leveling them across the work site for the shed foundation.  Plenty to keep me busy, given the spring time frame and the usual rush of lawn and garden tasks that come this time of year.

So, that's all for now.  Good news for sure! I'll keep you posted on the progress, with pics along the way!
